Recent Arrivals September 2018

We have received 9 new patterns this week, just in time to kick off some autumn fishing. Give them a try and tell us what you think about the below; we are always keen to hear feedback on how they perform on the water.

Also to note that we will be drawing the September's catch competition next week; so upload your catch photos to your account and you may well win a selection of patterns to give a try.

Drunken Daddy's

The Drunken Daddy is a great imitation of a daddy which has been caught by the wind and sent flying straight into the water! These daddies do look like they have had a bit too much to drink!

Black Drunken Daddy
Pack of 3: £3.45
Pack of 12 (inc 2 free): £11.50
The black silhouette of this daddy, and its size, helps attract fish from anywhere within the water column.

Orange Drunken Daddy
Pack of 3: £3.45
Pack of 12 (inc 2 free): £11.50
The orange body of this daddy acts as an attractor if fish seem to have 'disappeared' for the day. The size of the daddy also helps attract fish from anywhere within the water column.

White Drunken Daddy
Pack of 3: £3.45
Pack of 12 (inc 2 free): £11.50
This white version of the daddy can also pass as a small fry pattern.

Buzzers / Chironomidae

Elite Lace Holo Buzzer
Pack of 3: £3.00
Pack of 12 (inc 2 free): £10.00
The Elite Lace Holo Buzzer is made with oil filled lace which when in the water produces the effect of air round the body of the fly as would be seen just before the chironamid emerges at the surface. To say this fly works well would not do it justice, when used on lakes in Canada and the UK it has proved deadly time after time.

Ultimate Chironamid
Pack of 3: £3.00
Pack of 12 (inc 2 free): £10.00
The Ultimate Chironamid was designed for use on the lakes that surround Kamloops but has since proven to be very effective throughout Canada and the UK.

Near the banks!

Olive Cased Caddis
Pack of 3: £3.45
Pack of 12 (inc 2 free): £11.50
The Olive Cased Caddis is a splendid fly for the bottom of the lake or river.

Green Beetle
Pack of 3: £3.00
Pack of 12 (inc 2 free): £10.00
The Green Beetle is a good imitation of the natural that rides low in the water.

Wet and Dry

Hairy Bibio
Pack of 3: £3.00
Pack of 12 (inc 2 free): £10.00
The Hairy Bibio is just one of the highly successful Hairy series of flies. The hair hackle creates a natural pulsating movement in the water.

Oakden's Claret
Pack of 3: £3.45
Pack of 12 (inc 2 free): £11.50
The Oakden's Claret was created by Roger Woolly, author of ' The Fly Fisher's Flies', (1938) who honed his skills on the streams of Derbyshire.

We hope that this has been of interest to you, and would be greatful of any feedback about these new patterns.

Best of luck on the water,

Request a fly, size or option

We work closely with our fly tyers and can tie most patterns to order: a different hook size, barbless instead of barbed, a tungsten bead instead of a gold head; just ask.

Sending a request is free and you are not committing to buy. Depending on where we are in our tying cycle it can take a month or two for a pattern to arrive, and we may not be able to tie every request (fair usage applies); but if we can, we will.

Sign in first and we'll pre-fill your email and keep the request with your account.
